







Benedict XVI Is Latest YouTube Star
The Crosby and Formby Pastoral area was formed as part of the Archdiocese of Liverpool's Leaving Safe Harbours process in 2006. The Pastoral area includes nine Parishes: Holy Family Ince Blundell, Our Lady of Victories in Hightown, St Edmund of Canterbury Waterloo, St Helen's Crosby, St Joseph Blundellsands, St Mary's Little Crosby, SS Peter and Paul, Crosby, St.Thomas of Canterbury, and St William of York in Thornton. More recently in 2011 the Three Formby Parishes of Our Lady of Compassion, St Jeromes and St Anne's joined the Pastoral area.
The Pastoral Area is served by: Rev Mgr John Furnival VG VF; Rev John Cullen, Rev David Gamble, Rev Peter Fleetwood, Rev Dunstan Harrington, Rev Bernard Higham and Rev John Bradley.
The Pastoral Area takes its name from St. Thomas of Canterbury, one of its Parishes and the name of the former Crosby Deanery.
